Kali Theatre is a theatre group that specialises in presenting works by South Asian women. It presents pieces across the United Kingdom. Kali was founded in 1991 by Rita Wolf and Rukhsana Ahmad. Since 2002 its artistic director has been Janet Steel.[1]

Its most recent piece was a site-specific piece called My Daughter's Trial,[2] which was well received.[3]

Kali Theatre is supported by the Arts Council[4] in recognition for "nurture strong individual writers who challenge perceptions through original and thought-provoking theatre".
