Kappalur (கப்பலூர்) is a suburban in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) south of district headquarters Madurai, and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from nearby town Tirumangalam.It is located between Madurai and Thirumangalam. Kappalur has become the next emerging business hub for automotive industries like KUN BMW, Isuzu,Volkswagen, Toyota, Mahindra,Tata,Maruti Suzuki,Mitsubishi,Ashok Leyland,Jeep,Fiat india(FCA).
