Kaya Stewart (born February 28, 2000) is an English-American singer and songwriter, most notable for her single "In Love with a Boy". She is the daughter of David A. Stewart.[1]
Early life
Kaya Stewart was born in London, England but was raised in Los Angeles, California along with her half brothers, Sam and Django. She also has a sister Indya. Her mother is Dutch photographer Anoushka Fisz and her father is songwriter-producer-musician David A. Stewart.
Growing up in a musical family, Kaya constantly performed for her family and friends. She has said that she is greatly inspired by her father’s friend Annie Lennox. Annie was a former partner in Eurythmics and mentored Kaya.[2]
Music career
Kaya’s popularity has grown due to her first single "In Love with a Boy", featured on her debut album for Warner Bros. Records which was released July 10, 2015. The song set a record for being added to a total of 85 pop stations at launch, the most adds ever for a new artist.[3] In August 2016 she released her self-titled album.[4]
