Kelly Gough (born 23 April 1987) is an Irish actress, known for her comic roles and for portraying Poshoria in Macbecks and her dramatic role as Kate in popular Irish TV series Raw.

Background

Born in Ennis, County Clare, Gough is an identical twin and the tenth of eleven siblings. She is the younger sister of the actress Denise Gough. She graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2007 as part of the now defunct Bachelor in Acting Studies programme.[1]

Career

Gough's first role was with the Yew Tree Theatre production of Falling out of Love, written by John Breen and directed by Mikel Murfi.[1] She has subsequently appeared in productions including Big Love for the Abbey Theatre, The Playboy of the Western World for the award-winning Druid Theatre Company, All in the Timing for Inis Theatre and Extremities for Spark to a Flame. She also played the role of Poshoria in the football-musical Macbecks, based on the story of David and Victoria Beckham.[2]

Gough's television credits include The Clinic, This is Nightlive , Raw and Vera. She has also appeared in the feature length drama Belonging to Laura, an adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play Lady Windermere's Fan,[3] for TV3, as well as Anseo and Scúp. for TG4.
