Kent Rogers is a former American football coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Rogers was the head football coach for the Bethel Threshers located in North Newton, Kansas. He held that position for 19 seasons, from 1979 until 1994. His coaching record at Bethel was 69 wins, 80 losses and 1 tie.As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #1 at Bethel in total wins and #4 at the school in winning percentage (.463).[1]
Honors
Rogers was selected to work with the Kansas Shrine Bowl all-star game as an assistant coach in 1974 and head coach of the East team in 1975. In 2009, he was named to the Kansas Shrine Bowl Hall of Fame.
While at Bethel, Rogers was named the conference coach of the year six times and was president of the NAIA football coaches association in 1992 and 1993.[2] He was named All-District 10 coach of the year in 1984[3] In 2003, Bethel College named him to their Athletic Hall of Fame.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Emporia State University and a masters degree from Wichita State University.[2]
