Kern's Beverages, commonly known as Kern's, is a beverage company based in Santa Ana, California. Their main product line is Kern's Nectar, a non-carbonated sweetened fruit nectar drink, which uses fruit puree as a flavoring agent. The all-natural product line had discontinued the use of high fructose corn syrup, and are sold in a variety of formats. They are manufactured in Mexico, with many of their flavors featuring tropical fruits. They also produce lines of the Mexican beverages agua fresca and horchata. The company is a subsidiary of Jumex.

History

The company was started in the 1920s and was incorporated in 1932.[1][2] The company was acquired by Nestlé in 1985.[2] In 2004, Kern's was sold to a group of investors led by Stremicks Heritage Foods.[3] In 2013, Kern's was acquired by Jumex.[4]
