Kevin J. McCarra (born February 1, 1958 in Glasgow[1]) is a Scottish sportswriter and former chief football correspondent for The Guardian newspaper.[2] He often appeared on the Guardian Podcast Football Weekly hosted by James Richardson. He previously worked at Scotland on Sunday, The Sunday Times and The Times.[3] He also appears on BBC Radio Scotland's "Good Morning Scotland" as a newspaper reviewer.[4]

Kevin McCarra was educated at Glasgow University, receiving a MA (Hons) degree. McCarra is married to Susan Stewart.[5]
