Kim Appleby is the debut solo album by British singer Kim Appleby, formerly one half of duo Mel and Kim. It features the singles "Don't Worry" (UK #2[1]), "G.L.A.D" (UK #10[1]), "Mama" (UK #19[1]) and "If You Cared" (UK #44[1]). The album reached #23 in the UK Albums Chart,[1] #45 in Germany,[2] #36 in Switzerland,[3] #30 in Austria,[4] #65 in the Netherlands,[5] #24 in Sweden,[6] and #159 in Australia.[7]

Following the death of her sister Mel in January 1990, with the aid of her boyfriend, ex-Bros bassist Craig Logan, Kim launched a solo career with much of the album composed of songs co-written with Mel, for what was intended to be the next Mel and Kim album.
