The Kingsport Times-News is one of two daily newspapers based in Kingsport, Tennessee, covering general news, and is one of Northeast Tennessee's major newspapers. It has an average daily circulation of 35,000 as of 2016.[1]

Its history dates back to 1916 as the Kingsport Times, which began publication the year before the city was incorporated. It began daily publication in 1924.

It was bought by Sandusky Newspapers Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio, in 1962. That company also owns the nearby Johnson City Press as well as a number of other newspapers.[2]
