Kismet Healthcare is an Australian healthcare technology company founded by Mark Woodland alongside with his team.[1] Launched in 2023, the company aims to streamline access to healthcare services, particularly for individuals with disabilities and those utilizing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).[2][3][4]

History and funding

[edit]

Kismet Healthcare secured a significant $12.6 million in seed funding led by Prosus Ventures[5] and Airtree Ventures.[6][7] The funding will be used to expand the platform's capabilities, enhance user experience, and bolster its international presence.[8] Prior to this, the company raised A$4 million in pre-seed funding from Airtree[9], Black Nova, and Flying Fox.[10][11]

Platform and mission

[edit]

Kismet's platform connects individuals seeking healthcare services with qualified providers.[12] It offers a user-friendly interface to search for providers, book appointments, and manage health plans.[13] The company's mission is to simplify the process of accessing healthcare, reduce fraud, and improve overall health outcomes for individuals with disabilities.[14]
