The Kitty Hawk Flyer is a prototype personal aircraft, kept aloft by eight battery-powered propellers.[1][2] Its development is contemporaneous with other personal air vehicle efforts, including those of the Martin Jetpack, ICON A5, and Parajet Skycar, along with several others. The company behind the vehicle's development is led by CEO Sebastian Thrun, and has support from Larry Page. The engineering effort is led by Cameron Robertson and Todd Reichert, previously known for their Sikorsky prize-winning AeroVelo human-powered helicopter work.
