Kolce (pronounced[ˈkɔlt͡sɛ] ; Template:Lang-de) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głuszyca, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Głuszyca, 16 kilometres (10 mi) south-east of Wałbrzych, and 69 kilometres (43 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. (For more information about the history of the region, see Silesia.)
