Kris Niklison (Maria Cristina Niklison, November 12, 1966) is an Argentina-born performance artist and international projection.
His artistic language is characterized by his personal character and visual poetry, manifesting itself in plays, dance shows and recently -aérea- movies.
He has received awards as an actress, creator and theater director, choreographer and filmmaker around the world.
She was born in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she graduated from school Jesus Maria and the National School of Dramatic Art. At 22 she embarked on a world tour that took her to live in Amsterdam, Holland, where she worked with the theater company physical Lady Komedie in Waterzucht and Survival shows performing in many international festivals and European theaters. She also worked in Amsterdam with directors Peter Greenaway (in the film Prospero's Books and operates Rosa Horse Drama) and Dario Fo in L'Italiana in Algeri opera.
In 1997 she starred the show Pomp Duck and Cirque du Soleil Circumstances in Hamburg, Germany, with its creation, the legendary character Ginger Kennedy.
In 1998 he returned to Amsterdam where she founded the theater company physical Kris Niklison & Company achieved international success with their shows M / F, Red Roses Red, Dilemma, The Neverlands and is said to Me, works to be presented in theaters and international festivals in more than 20 countries on 4 continents garnering praise from the international press. In 2000 she established a working basis in Embu das Artes, Brazil, where she founded the cultural space Casadasartes. In 2006 he returned to Buenos Aires where a film career began opening film producer Basata films. (Arabic word for simplicity).
Today is dedicated to the cinema, dividing her time between Brazil and Argentina.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER Daughter of Roque Niklison and Bela Jordan, Kris Niklison always had a close relationship with his mother.
Her first film, Diletante portrays the singular old age of her mother who shows extraordinary lucidity and anarchic spirit.
They travel the world together presenting the film, garnering praise and awards.
In 2012 Bela has a stroke that leaves her bedridden. Kris freezes her artistic activities for two years and care with devotion to his mother, keeping the spirit of adventure and optimism that characterized both.
Bela died on June 14, 2014 and resumed her artistic work Kris preparing Vergel shooting his second feature.
Teatro
Pioneer in combining physical theater, aerial techniques, dance and text in the theaters of Holland, her works became a benchmark of multidisciplinary art during the latter half of the 90s and the first half of 00.

CINE
In 2007 she went to spend some time in the family stay Sauce Viejo, Santa Fe, Argentina and recorded with her camera the eccentric old age of her mother, Bela Jordan. For more than a year it publishes this material and presented with Diletante film competition of Argentine films in the 23 * Mar del Plata Festival, winning that competition and thus extending the film to 35 mm. Ms. Lita Stantic joins the project becoming Diletante producer. The film was premiered at the Malba on May 4, 2010, and remained in theaters in Buenos Aires until November of the same year (in the Malba, Arteplex, Gaumont cinemas, and in the dressing room of the Muses) garnering praise from the press national.
Later Diletante was presented at international festivals (Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Argentina), FID Marseille (France), Film Festival of Valladolid (Spain), Film Festival Valdivia (Chile), Festival lationamericano London Film (England), film Festival of Barcelona (Spain), film Festival Guangzhou (China) film Festival Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), film Festival of Uruguay, Cinematheque in Montevideo, film Festival Mexico, Cineaguas ) winning the award for Best Documentary at 50 * Cartagena film Festival. Dilettante was declared of Cultural Interest by the Senate of the Nation in 2011.
Her second feature, the film Vergel, won in 2012 the Incaa-Ancine competition (US $250,000 for the production of the film) and was filmed in Buenos Aires in January and February 2016. The film produced by Basata films (Argentina ) and Casadasartesfilms (Brazil) is starring Camila Morgado ( "Olga" by Jayme Monjardim)) and Maricel Alvarez (Biutiful by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñaritu) and has the Musical composition Arrigo Barbabe, editing Karen Harley and photographic advice Felix Monti and artistic Jusid Margarita. Its release is scheduled for 2017.
In 2015 she made a trip to India where she writes the script of El Barquero, her third feature film produced by Basata also Casadasartes Films and films and is currently in the fundraising stage.
