Kumari Bank Limited is one of the leading commercial bank in Nepal.[1][2][3][4] The bank has over 150 thousand satisfied customers[citation needed] and 36 Branches (8 inside Kathmandu Valley and 28 outside), 2 Extension Counters[clarification needed] and 50 ATM locations. Kumari Bank won an MBillionth Award for its Kumari Mobile Cash product at the mBillionth 2011 South Asia International Summit 2011 held in Delhi, India.[5]
Manthan Award South Asia
Kumari Bank won The Manthan Award South Asia 2011 (Digital Inclusion for Development), during International Summit 2011 held in New Delhi, India on December 01-02, 2011.[6] The award was won in the e-business & enterprise category for providing service called Kumari Mobile Cash which uses mobile phones to provide access to financial services through mobile wallet concept which allows users to store cash balances in their mobile phones.[7]

Distribute Galvanized sheets at Gorkha

Kumari Bank Limited has distributed “Galvanized Sheet- Jasta Pata” to repair damaged roofs and class rooms of various schools at Gorkha district on July 27, 2015. The earthquake that occurred on April 25, 2015 with epicenter at Gorkha damaged many schools in various VDCs’ of the region. Kumari Bank distributed 200 bundles of Galvanized sheet to schools as per “Gorkha Model” in the presence of Dr. Shova Kant Dhakal (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Santosh Kumar Lama (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Uddhav Timalsina (Chief District Officer), Mr. Bishnu Adhikari (Representative of District Education Officer) and Ms. Parbati Pathak (Representative of District Development Committee)
Distributes galvanized sheets at Dhading

Kumari Bank Limited has successfully conducted “Galvanized Sheet- Jasta Pata” distribution to 109 households (481 people) from dalit community of Sangkosh VDC (Nilkantha municipality), Dhading who lost their homes due to the earthquake that occurred on 25 April 2015. Relief material distribution program took place on 26 July 2015 in the premise of Pashupati Madhyamik Bidhyalaya, Gamgade, Dhading. Dr. Shova Kant Dhakal (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Santosh Lama (Director, Kumari Bank Limited) distributed jasta pata along with certificates to the earthquake victims on behalf of Kumari Bank in the presence of Mr. Shyam Magarati (Chairman, Dalit Sangh, Dhading), dignitaries from various political parties, teachers from the school, media personnel and the locals of the area as per the statement given by Mr. Narendra Chhatkuli (Head-Legal & Compliance/ Company Secretary) of Kumari Bank Limited
In total, Kumari Bank has offered support worth NPR 5,100,000.00 (NPR Fifty One Hundred Thousand only) for the earthquake victims of Nawalparasi, Sindhupalchowk, Dhading and Gorkha.[9]

Kumari Bank Limited has successfully conducted “Galvanized Sheet- Jasta Pata” distribution to the earthquake victims of Bhangtar, Amptar and Pipaltar VDCs situated in Bhimtar, Sindhupalchowk on 22 July 2015. Dr. Shova Kant Dhakal (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Santosh Kumar Lama (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Uttam Prasad Bhattarai (Director, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Rajib Giri (Acting CEO, Kumari Bank Limited), Mr. Kuber Kaji Shrestha (Chairman, Indrawatee Community Service Centre), Mr. Sitaram Shrestha (General Secretary, Indrawatee Community Service Centre), Dr. Komal Bikram Thapa (doctor of Indrawatee Community Service Centre), and Bir Bahadur Tamang (Assistant, Indrawatee Community Service Centre) were present in the program.[10]
Scholarship to Living Goddess Kumari

Kumari Bank Limited has initiated a scholarship program for living goddess Kumari of Kathmandu on the occasion of its 14th anniversary, in order to give continuity to her further education. The amount of NPR 50,000.00 will be deposited every year in her saving account and upon her retirement, a lump sum amount will be granted to her for education purpose. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between 'Kumari Bank' and 'Kumari Ghar' for the scholarship program. Kumari Bank has been carrying out various CSR activities in sectors like education, health and environment in the past too.
Blood Donation
5 April 2015
Kumari Bank Limited organized various CSR programs across the country through its branches to mark its 14th Anniversary. Kumaripati branch in technical assistance with Nepal Red Cross Society and Pokhara branch in technical assistance with 'Raktasanchar Kendra' successfully organized 'Blood Donation Campaign'. Nijgadh branch at Bara distributed nets to the patients of community hospital of the area and likewise, distribution of grocery items to the old age home at Minbhawan, Kathmandu jointly by Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Chabahil and Budhanilkantha branches. The Bank has been carrying out various CSR activities in sectors like education, health and environment in the past too.
Health camp

Kumari Bank Limited in association with Indrawatee Community Service Centre (ICSC), Sindhupalchowk conducted health camp. More than 500 people from rural areas were provided free health check up facility by a team of senior doctors associated with different hospitals of the country. With the initiation of Dr. Komal Thapa, the team of doctors including eye specialist, child specialist, gynecologist etc. offered health services, medical advices and free medicines to the patients. Likewise, the Bank has been giving continuity to these kinds of CSR activities in the past too.
