Kwamelasemoetoe Airstrip (IATA: SMSM), near Kwamelasemoetoe, Suriname, a Trio Indian village in the South of Suriname in the Sipaliwini District. The name of this village literally means Bamboo sand, named after the nearby river banks partly overgrown with bamboo. This village is located on the Sipaliwini River. It is near the disputed area known as the Tigri Area by the border of Guyana, located west of the nearby Coeroeni River, as shown on the map.

Accidents and incidents
On 15 October 2009, an Antonov An-28 of Blue Wing Airlines, registered PZ-TST, departed the runway on landing and hit an obstacle. The aircraft was substantially damaged and four people were injured, one seriously.[1]
