Lažany is a village and municipality (obec) in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 3.22 square kilometres (1.24 sq mi), and has a population of 281 (as at 3 July 2006).

Lažany lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north of Strakonice, 61 km (38 mi) north-west of České Budějovice, and 90 km (56 mi) south-west of Prague.
