Lambda Pyxidis (Lambda Pyx, λ Pyxidis, λ Pyx) is a yellow G-type giant with an apparent magnitude of +4.71. It is approximately 182 light years from Earth.

Lambda Pyxidis is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 36 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 23,400 and 28,100 light years from the center of the Galaxy.[1]
