Lee Harvey Nurse (24 December 1976 – 9 April 2020) was an English cricketer. Nurse was a right-handed batsman. He was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire. He died on 9 April 2020 as a result of complications of COVID-19 during the coronavirus pandemic.[1]

Nurse made his debut for Berkshire County Cricket Club in the 1997 Minor Counties Championship against Dorset. He played 29 Minor Counties Championships matches for the side, with his final appearance for the county coming against Cheshire.[2] He also played in 14 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches, the last of which came against Dorset in 2006.[3]

Nurse also represented the county in List A matches, making his List A debut against Sussex Cricket Board in the 2000 NatWest Trophy. He represented the county a seven List A matches, with his final match in that format coming against Durham in the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy.[4]

Family

His great-uncle Seymour Nurse played Test cricket for the West Indies and first-class and List A cricket for Barbados.
