Lemon Tree Hotels is a hotel chain company based in India. Incorporated in 2002, the company owns and operates approximately 1,900 rooms across 18 mid-scale hotels across India.[1]

History

Lemon Tree Hotels was founded by Mr. Patu Keswani in 2002. The first Lemon Tree Hotel opened in Gurgaon in June 2004.[2] It is in Udyog Vihar with 49 rooms.

Cost cutting measures

The rooms have built in beds, so the attendants don't have to waste time cleaning under the beds.[3] This means they can clean 22 rooms in 1 shift, instead of 15.[3]

At their first hotel in Gurgaon, the 49 rooms were 240 sq feet in size instead of 320 sq feet.[3]
