Lewis Ridge (83°13′S 167°35′E / 83.217°S 167.583°E / -83.217; 167.583) is a rugged, ice-covered ridge, 14 nautical miles (26 km) long, extending eastward from the Holland Range, Antarctica, between Morton Glacier and Hewitt Glacier, and terminating at Richards Inlet. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Commander G.H. Lewis, U.S. Navy, commanding officer of the USS Burton Island (AG-88) during U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze, 1964.[1]
