Milton “Lil Rel” Howery is an American comic actor and stand-up comedian from Chicago, Illinois.
Career
Lil Rel Howery began performing stand-up comedy on Chicago’s East Side at a club called the Lion’s Den.[1]
In January 2007, Lil Rel Howery appeared on reality TV competition Last Comic Standing.[2]
In 2012, Howery and five other comedians starred in a revival of the popular 1990s comedy sketch program In Living Color on FOX.[3] The show was cancelled in 2013.
Lil Rel Howery is a writer, producer, and one of the regular cast members of the truTV sketch comedy series, Friends of the People.[4] In 2015, Howery began co-starring in the role of Bobby Carmichael on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show alongside the show’s creator, Jerrod Carmichael.[5]
Personal life
Lil Rel Howery grew up on the West Side of Chicago.[1] He married his wife Verina on 29 November 2008. The couple have two children.[1]
