Lila Wallis, M.D. founded and became the first president of the National Council on Women's Health, created the Office of Women in Medicine at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in 1982. Wallis is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and endocrinology/metabolism.[1]

Training

Wallis graduated from Barnard College in 1947 and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She performed her postgraduate training at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.
