Linus Shashipapo Secondary School, founded 1974, is the oldest school in the Kavango Region of Namibia.[1] It is named after Linus Shashipapo, Hompa (king) of the Gciriku from 1945 to 1984.[2] Notable alumni of the school are John Mutorwa, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry and Elijah Ngurare, Secretary of the SWAPO Party Youth League.[1]
