Lippershey is a relatively tiny lunar impact crater located in the southeast section of the Mare Nubium. It is a circular, cup-shaped feature surrounded by the lunar mare. Lippershey lies to the northeast of the crater Pitatus, it also lies south of Nicollet and Birt craters, due west of the large Purbach and northwest of the larger Deslandres. Due east of the crater is the southernmost portion of Rupes Recta.
