The Roman Catholic Church in Poland comprises sixteen Archdioceses headed by an archbishop and 28 Dioceses headed by a bishop. Each of the dioceses and archdioceses is a member of the Episcopal Conference of Poland. The episcopal conference of Poland is one of the larger conferences in Europe, slightly smaller than Spain, but larger than the United Kingdom or Germany. Poland is also by far the most established conference in all of Eastern Europe.
