List of Señora Acero characters
Señora Acero is an American-Mexican television series developed by Argos Comunicación and Telemundo Studios, based on a original idea of Roberto Stopello. As of the third season, the series was renamed to Señora Acero: La Coyote. The series premiered on September 23, 2014 in the United States on Telemundo television network, and is currently in its fourth season.
Set and filmed in Mexico and United States, Seasons 1 and 2 tell the story of Sara Aguilar, a beautiful housewife, who by obligation ends up becoming the most powerful drug and money laundering trafficker in Mexico to protect her son and her friends. Seasons 3 and 4 focuses on the life of Vicenta Acero, better known as La Coyote, who helps immigrants cross the Mexican border to fulfill the American dream of thousands of Mexicans fleeing their country of origin because of drug traffickers and corrupt politicians.

Main characters
Sara Aguilar
- Played by Blanca Soto (seasons 1−2)
Sara Aguilar Bermudez, she is a housewife, Salvador's mother. After the death of her husband she enters the world of money laundering. One of her biggest enemies is El Indio Amaro who at the end of season two teams up with her to destroy to El Teca and finally she sacrificed her life to save his son at the hands of El Teca from a shot to death.[1]
Aracely Paniagua
- Played by Litzy (seasons 1−3)
Aracely Paniagua González, she was a prostitute and drug addict, after meet Sara begins to leave the vices. She has a daughter named Elizabeth, daughter he had with Mario Casas. Aracely also dedicates herself to singing a few times. She married former DEA agent Marcelo Doriga and is killed by four shots by El Chaneque.[2]
Vicente Acero
- Played by Damián Alcázar (season 1)
He is a corrupt commander of the P.G.E, father of Salvador and Vicenta. Vicente is murdered on the day of his wedding by El Indio Amaro by El Teca's order, after his death, his wife and his entire family learned about their illegal business. In season three, it is confirmed that Vicente had a relationship with Edemilra Rigores, with whom he had daughter Vicenta Acero.[3]
Felipe Murillo
- Played by Marco Pérez (season 1)
He is a corrupt mayor, husband of Josefina Aguilar, and brother-in-law of Sara. After finding out about the money that Vicente had left hidden, he is in charge of perserguing Sara, so that she can tell him where the hidden money is. He dies crashed in the trunk of a car by Sara and Manuel.[4]
El Indio Amaro
- Played by Jorge Zárate (season 1−4)
Amaro Rodríguez Mora better known as El Indio Amaro, he is a narco of the Tijuana cartel, at first he was the right hand of El Teca and Julian Montero, after his death El Indio became the leader of the Tijuana cartel. Finally is killed and murdered by El Gallo Quintanilla and the Acero brothers.
Mariana Huerdo
- Played by Rossana San Juan (season 1)
She is the wife of Junio Acero. After Vicente died she joined forces with El Indio to destroy Sara and find the 5 million dollars that were hidden. She dies when falling from a balcony by Junio Acero who also fell.[5]
Eliodoro Flores Tarso
- Played by Andrés Palacios (season 1)
Eliodoro Flores Tarso better known as Elio, he is a PGE commander who falls in love with Sara and helps her in all his money laundering businesses. Elio has a daughter named Patricia, daughter he had with Vanessa Creel. He is stabbed to death by El Empanada, who was killed by a shot.[6]
Enriqueta Sabido
- Played by Rebecca Jones (season 1)
She is a hairdresser who is dedicated to making aesthetic operations in your business illegally. She is brutally stabbed to death in jail by an inmate.[7]
El Teca
- Played by José Luis Reséndez (seasons 1-2, 4) and William Miller (season 5)
Acasio Martínez better known as El Teca, he is the leader of Tijuana Cartel, he is obsessed with Sara since they were teenagers, he becomes her biggest enemy, also is Alvaro and Julian's father. El Teca has a twin brother named Alfredo Díaz, from Colombia. In season four, he is revealed that he had a relationship with leader of the Cali Cartel Briceida Montero, with whom he had son Julian Montero. In the finale of season four it is revealed that he survived 16 shots of Salvador Acero by wearing a bulletproof vest and remained in prison in New York City after season two.[8]
Manuel Caicedo
- Played by Lincoln Palomeque (seasons 1−3)
He started working for El Teca as a spy. But then he falls in love with Sara and begins to help her in everything he can. Manuel raised Salvador as his son during the years that Sara was imprisoned. Manuel is shot dead by Chucho Casares and asphyxiated by El Indio Amaro.[9]
Miguel Quintanilla
- Played by Alejandro Calva (seasons 1−2)
He is the leader of the Jalisco cartel, father of El Gallo and husband of Josefina, Gabriel Quintanilla's brother and Amparo's lover. After learning of the betrayal of his son and his wife, he flees away, until El Teca finds his whereabouts and murders him.[10]
Vicenta Acero
- Played by Carolina Miranda (season 3−present)
Born as Vicenta Rigores, she is one of the most respected coyotes in the entire border. Vicenta is the daughter of Edelmira Rigores and Vicente Acero, half-sister of Salvador. After the death of her mother, Vicenta, Daniel Phillips, and her clan were mainly responsible for unmasking the corrupted Mexican government and destroying Chucho Casáres and Heriberto Roca. She has a relationship with Daniel Phillips.[11]
Daniel Phillips
- Played by Luis Ernesto Franco (season 3−4)
He is an immigration police officer, Daniel sees his wife and daughter die during an attack he received at Chucho's orders, after that he only seeks revenge on his family's murderer. Maintains a relationship with Vicenta. Daniel, Vicenta and his clan is main responsibles for unmasking the corrupted Mexican government and destroying Chucho Casáres and Heriberto Roca. He is used to be with frida and he is the father Frida's son Diego. Dies in the hospital after the boat explosion provoked by El Indio and Romero.[12]
Chucho Casáres
- Played by Sergio Goyri (season 3)
He is a corrupt mayor and corrupted governor of chihuahua, father of Abelardo and Lorena Casares. Chucho is in charge of destroying the entire family of Vicenta. Responsible and intellectual author in the death of the family of Daniel Phillips. After killing his mother, his wife, his comander of PGE Heriberto Ochoa and being persecuted by the authorities, he flees, but Vicenta and Daniel manage to find him and bury him alive in the desert so that the coyotes kill him. After his death the federal PGE found no head, turned out to be one of the subordinates of the corrupted president of Mexico Heriberto Roca.[13][14]
Edelmira Rigores
- Played by Laura Flores (season 3)
She's a former prostitute, Vicenta's mother. She suffered from uterine cancer. When realizing that her daughter Vicenta is Vicente Acero's daughter, Vicente finds out and threatens both with death due to fear that she would ruin his relationship with Sara Aguilar, she flees to Chucho Casares' ranch and asks Chucho for help to protect them both, while both live in refugee in the ranch, she was only mistreated and raped by him. She also faked Vicenta's death during her teenage years as a way to hide and protect her from Chucho. She was also revealed to have spyed on Chucho in regards to his illegal business practices. She is also implied to be the co-owner of the American Dream bar with Margarita Casanova.[15]
El Cheneque
- Played by José María Torre (season 3)
Larry Pérez or El Cheneque, is a hit man who works for El Indio Amaro. Larry murdered Daniel's family by order of Chucho. After making believe that Josefina had died, I only use it to rape her several times and have a daughter with her. His daughter is called Belinda. Responsible for the murder of Aracely. Finally is shot to death by El Gallo Quintanilla and Daniel Phillips.[16][17]
La Tuti
- Played by Ana Lucía Domínguez (season 2−present)
Martha Mónica is a Colombian woman who originally introduced to be implied of being a con-artist due to proclaiming of selling drug substances and being a tarot card reader. She then becomes obsessed with Manuel after a romantic encounter. When Alvaro Martinez invades her apartment believing that Sara Aguilar was hiding there, she has a rendezvous with him and turns out to expecting his child, a son to whom she names the child the same name as him and his father. La Tuti collects dolls to which she names them and believes they are alive. In season 3, she is then revealed to be selling lingerie through a internet chat room then marries Carlos Delgado, a millionaire who inherits all his fortune also later on she reunites with her son Alvaro to whom she was made to believe by El Indio Amaro that he was dead. In season 4, she joins with Julián to create her own drug cartel and be able to look like Sara due to desiring of wanting to take revenge against El Indio Amaro for making her believe her son was dead.[18]
Indira Cárdenas
- Played by Gaby Espino (season 3−4)
She is the head of the Department of National Security. After her brother forced her to help her in his dirty business, El Indio blackmails her to help him in everything. Indira is the mother of Nicolás and ex-wife of Jorge. She is dismissed from office for corruption, enslavement, kidnapping, murder of immigrants and Officer Arturo Sánchez. Finally dies in the boat explosion provoked by El Inidio and Romero.[19][20]
Julián Montero
- Played by Diego Cadavid (season 4−present)
Julián Montero, better known as Señor Romero or Julián Romero, is the leader of the Cali Cartel and new leader of the Tijuana Cartel, Julián he is the son of Briceida Montero and El Teca Martínez. Julián passes himself off White Flag lawyer to confuse Vicenta and be able to take revenge on Acero-Quintanilla clan for murdering his mother, his half-brother and his entire family Martínez-Montero dynasty.[21]

Josefina Aguilar
- Played by Aurora Gil (season 1–present)
Josefina Aguilar Bermudez, she is the only survivor of the surname Aguilar. Originally depicted as a housewife, Josefina was married to Felipe Murillo, however later on she discovers Murillo in a affair with housekeeper, Rosalinda Negrin. Desiring to wanting a child, Felipe murders Rosalinda in the hospital while in her sleep after labor then makes Josefina believe that she died while giving birth and keeps the child which being a boy to who she names Felipito. The following season, Josefina falls in love with Miguel Quintanilla, until she betrays him with his own son El Gallo. She is also threatened to being turned into the authorities by her sister Berta and attempting to make betray her other sister Sara when she is informed that the mother of her former housekeeper is wanting to pursue legal custody of Felipito. In season three and four, Josefina had a daughter named Belinda, consenting to Larry 'El Cheneque's rape and reveals the truth to Felipito about his real mother much to his dismay of transpired events but officially accepts Josefina as his true mother.
Marcelo Dóriga
- Played by Alberto Agnesi (season 1–4)
He is Andrea's father and ex-husband to Ximena. For several years he worked for the DEA with the sole intention of capturing El Teca, in his step he fell in love with Sara and quit his job to join the Acero family and be their security chief. Marcelo maintained a relationship with Aracely and raised Elizabeth as his adopted daughter. Dies during the confrontation with Mario Casas.
Mario Casas
- Played by Rodrigo Guirao Díaz (season 2–4)
He is the father of Elizabeth, Mario is a pharmacist and chemical engineer who produces new drugs to be sold to the market. Mario suffers from bipolarity and maintains an obsession with Aracely, with whom he had his daughter. Dies during the confrontation with Marcelo Dóriga.
José Ángel Godoy
- Played by Mauricio Henao (season 2–4)
He is the only son of Miriam Godoy and Arnulfo Beltrán. Nicknamed Pepito. In season one during his childhood and teenage years, he is taken away to live with by Arnulfo but when Miriam decides to regain her son by having Sara Aguilar’s help, Arnulfo decides to attempt to hide until Sara finds Pepito leading to confrontation of both parties. It was implied that Pepito was mentally abused by Arnulfo and forced to sell his own supply of drug substances. At the end of season one, Miriam decides to hide Pepito in Cali, Columbia with the help of Miguel Quintanilla. In season two, José Ángel studied law and business administration but becomes more resentful towards his mother for continued association with Sara Aguilar. He also falls in love with Begoña Juárez. In season three, Pepito is revealed to be living in misery as he starts to blame the Acero-Quintanilla dynasty for it and for his mother’s death; he takes revenge on Salvador and becomes an enemy of the Acero-Quintanilla dynasty. He and Salvador then confront each other leading to Pepito being mutilated and believed to be dead. In season four, he is revealed to be alive with the help of El Indio Amaro and Mario Casas also works for El Indio Amaro only to be emasculated and humiliated. He dies in the explosion provoked himself.
Salvador Acero
- Played by Michel Duval (Season 2–present)
He is the son of Vicente and Sara, Vicenta's half-brother, who suffers from diabetes. When his mother died, he became the heir of the Jalisco cartel. He is boyfiend of Rosario Franco.
El Gallo
- Played by Óscar Priego (season 2–present)
Erick Quintanilla López, he is the son of Miguel Quintanilla and Amparo López, father of Miguelito, husband of Josefina and Debora. El Gallo is the leader of the Acero-Quintanilla clan. Later becomes Municipal President of Matamoros.
Bebote
- Played by Eduardo Amer (season 2–present)
Previously he was an assassin who worked for the Tijuana cartel, but then decided to betray El Teca and El Indio and allied himself with Acero-Quintanilla clan.
El Roscas
- Played by Roberto Wohlmuth (season 1–4)
El Mudo in the first season, and Chalino "El Roscas", he is a murderer who worked all his life for the Tijuana cartel, but then decides to go to work with La Tuti and Romero. Responsible of the deaths of Pedro Juarez and his daughter Begoña and Debora. Finally is shot to death by Salvador Acero.
Heriberto Roca
- Played by Mario Loria (season 2–4)
He is a corrupted president, former husband of Cayetana Acosta, Heriberto has illicit business with the Tijuana cartel since the time when El Teca was alive later El Indio Amaro. In the season four is confirms that your main subordinates are corrupted governor of Chihuahua Chucho Casares who ordered the Amaro Indian to leave the country and corrupted comander of PGE Eladio Puertas who found Governor Casares without a head, Heriberto is in charge of destroying the entire family of Vicenta to avenge the death of Chucho Casares but El Gallo and Cayetana manage to unmask their corrupt businesses and withdraw the charges ordering the arrest and murder of corrupted commander of PGE Eladio Puertas for treason, while the Gallo is imprisoned by Triple R, but Acero Brothers and Phillips to capture him and then force him to take out his corrupt business in front of the video cameras he had to torture Vicenta that she found her weak point, when the PGE and the Mexican Navy manage to reveal against him for drug trafficking, homicide, forced disappearance and torture. Phillips, PGE and the Mexican Navy they manage to rescue Vicenta and the corrupt president is dismissed from his position and transferred to the federal prison. While El Teca's son Julian Romero makes the last visit and then poisoning him dying in the moment.
Rosario Franco
- Played by Oka Giner (season 3–4) and Samantha Siqueiros (season 5)
Sister of Aida and Juan Pablo, girlfriend of Salvador. Rosario was previously dedicated to prostitution, but after meeting Salvador she leaves that world aside.
Victoria Phillips
- Played by Nubia Martí (season 3–4)
She is Daniel's mother, she survived the attack she suffered when her entire family died, Victoria suffers from Alzheimer's.
Domingo
- Played by León Peraza (season 3–4)
It is the right hand of Mario in all its illicit businesses, Domingo after seeing how Mario humiliated it and mistreated it decides to ally itself with Doriga to end it. He dies in the explosion caused by Mario Casas
Aída Franco
- Played by Jessica Segura (season 3–present)
She is the sister of Rosario, after Vicenta helps her cross the border, she goes to live in a ranch where she meets Gregory Jones, who becomes her lover.
Sergio Mendoza
- Played by Javier Escobar (season 3–4)
He was an officer of the PGE and later is promoted to commander of the PGE after the arrest and murder of Eladio Puertas. Who helped the Acero-Quintanilla in the coup d'état against the Corrupted President Heriberto Roca.
Débora
- Played by Lucía Silva (season 3–4)
She is the lover of the Gallo and mother of Miguelito, dies murdered by El Roscas by orders of Julian Romero.

Andrea Dóriga
- Played by María José Magán (season 3–4)
Daughter of Marcelo Doriga, girlfriend of Mario Casas and later commits suicide of a shot by the head when knowing that Casas had won.
Ximena Ladrón de Guevara

Ex-wife of Marcelo Doriga and of Teca Martinez, mother of Alvaro and Andrea, grandmother of Alvaro II.
Berta Aguilar
- Played by Luciana Silveyra (seasons 1–2)
She is the older sister of Sara and Josefina, wife of Esteban, who has always hated Sara for stealing the love of Vicente Acero, after Vicente's death she joined forces with Felipe to destroy Sara to see her sunk in jail and destroyed at any cost. She is paralyzed by the Junio Acero's shot. In the season two after the death of Felipe, she recovers from his paralysis who accompanied Heriberto Roca to win the elections and to ascend as his secretary, she and her security chief Eleuterio planned to bribe the judge so that Sara would be sentenced to 25 years in prison, but her sentence did not last long because El Teca Martínez and El Indio Amaro kidnapped her along with the security chief to make her talk about her sentence to Sara but she refused and was killed by Teca, she buried the body of security chief, Bertha she loses her position as secretary for prostitute, who tried to expose President Roca but managed to accept her negotiation, later then tried to kill the first lady Cayetana but she gave the order to kill her for uncovering the presidential plane and flees to be attacked by the officials of the first lady, she joins with Teca to kidnap Sara and bring him to him, starting with Josefina to threaten Felipito but his plan failed when the Gallo arrived and killed Baltazar, then kidnapped Felipito but Doriga and his men arrived, but she is taken prisoner by El Indio Amaro who becomes obsessed but more Later she was killed by a fatal shot in the forehead by El Teca Martínez who deceived her with the heart of an old lady and mother of Rosalinda Negrín.
Miriam Godoy

She is the mother of José Ángel Godoy, she just like Aracely was a hairdresser, until she becomes Sara's best friend and together they start the money laundering business. But due to misfortunes of destiny, she is killed by El Teca.
