Appearance
The 1972 General Elections has increases the number of seats by 7 to 65 seats. The official result can be obtained through Official results and electoral divisions in 1972 Legislative Assembly General Elections of Singapore.
One interesting point to note is that from then on, there is no opposition candidate elected into Parliament under PAP government until 1981 by-election in Anson.
