List of intelligence agencies of Germany

Federal Intelligence Service (BND): Bundesnachrichtendienst, foreign and military intelligence
Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD): Militärischer Abschirmdienst, counterintelligence within the Bundeswehr
Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV): Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz, domestic intelligence
State Offices for the Protection of the Constitution (LfV): Landesbehörden für Verfassungsschutz, domestic intelligence for their respective state. (exist in each of the 16 states, sometimes simply as a department within the respective Ministry of the Interior. See also Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz)
Strategic Surveillance Command (KSA): Kommando Strategische Aufklärung, military signals intelligence and geospatial intelligence, part of Cyber and Information Space Command
Central Office for Information Technology in the Security Sphere(ZITiS): Zentrale Stelle für Informationstechnik im Sicherheitsbereich, cryptanalysis and digital surveillance. Mainly works as a support agency for law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Federal Office for Information Security (BSI): Federal Office for Information Security, digital counterintelligence and cyber security
Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA): Federal Criminal Police Office, Criminal and national security intelligence. Not actually an intelligence agency, but resembles one in a few aspects. Can be compared to the FBI.

Ministry for State Security (MfS): Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, also known as "Stasi". State security service of the German Democratic Republic.
Secret State Police (Gestapo): Geheime Staatspolizei. Secret police of Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe.
Foreign Armies East (Abteilung Fremde Heere Ost): Military Intelligence of Nazi Germany.
