Madhusudan Kela is the Chief Investment Strategist at Reliance Capital.[1] His last assignment was with Reliance Capital Asset Management as Head - Equity Investments.

Beginning

Madhusudan Kela grew up in Kurud which is in Chhattisgarh.[1]

He completed Masters in Management Studies in 1991 from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Mumbai. Thereafter he did equity research at CIFCO and SSKI (Sharekhan).[2] In 1994, he joined Motilal Oswal to start their institutional desk before moving to UBS in 1996. He joined Reliance Mutual Fund in 2001.[2]

Life Philosophy

In the words of Madhusudan Kela at his experience in SIMSR,"We had a professor called Dr. R L Bhatia who taught us HR. He said whenever you face a grave problem, remember that your biggest asset are your people. And it is your ability to deal with people that determines how far you go in life. When I reflect back on my career of 25 years, I realize that he was absolutely right. At the end of the day, my people are my biggest strength."
