Margaret Cassidy "Maggie" Lawson (born August 12, 1980) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Detective Juliet "Jules" O'Hara in the TV show Psych. She has also starred in the sitcoms Inside Schwartz, It's All Relative, and Crumbs, as well as the television movie Nancy Drew.

Life and career

Lawson was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Judy, a homemaker, and Mike Lawson, a hotel manager.[2] She attended Assumption High School, an All-Girls Catholic school. In 2000, she starred in Model Behavior, an ABC-TV movie featuring Justin Timberlake. She has also made guest appearances on television series such as Smallville and Fear Itself. She was recently the star of a play called Greedy, directed by James Roday, which played for a few weekends in Los Angeles.[3]

She co-stars in the USA Network original series, Psych, as Detective Juliet O'Hara. She has been in a relationship with Psych co-star James Roday since 2006.[4]

Lawson starred in the ABC sitcom Back In The Game, which was picked up for the 2013 fall season. She played Terry Gannon, a single mother and former college softball player who reluctantly agrees to coach her son's little league team.[5] On November 1, 2013, ABC canceled Back in the Game.[6] The tenth episode was aired on December 11, 2013. ABC will not air the remaining three episodes of its original 13-episode order, but may do so at a later date.[7]
