Majestic (Kannada: ಮೆಜೆಸ್ಟಿಕ್) is a 2002 Indian Kannada action crime film written and directed by P. N. Satya. The film stars Darshan in the lead role, along with Rekha and Jai Jagadish in other prominent roles.[1] The film was produced by Ullas Enterprises studio. Sadhu Kokila scored the music for the film and the film was released on February 8, 2002. The film ran successfully for more than 100 days in theatres. It was the first movie for actor Darshan in the male lead. The film was remade in Telugu as Charminar.[2]


An Orphanage Boy raised by A Corrupt police Ranadheera (Jai Jagadeesh) for his own intense. He grows to be a rowdy Daasa (Darshan). Daasa Falls in love with Kiran (Rekha), Ranadheera's daughter. He give up his rowdy life and start to live good life.

Ranadheera knows daasa's changes and uses his daughter Kiran against him. Kiran knows his father true colours and confessed her misdid to daasa and joins him. In last, They were both killed.



Darshan, son of veteran actor Thoogudeep Srinivas made his acting debut with this film.[3][4] In March 2017, Sudeep claimed that he was instrumental in getting Darshan a chance as actor for the film.[5][6] But there are controversial statements given by the two producers.Ba Ma Harish has agreed sudeep statement where as another producer denied sudeeps statement.[7][8]


The music of the film was composed by Sadhu Kokila and lyrics were written by V. Nagendra Prasad.
