Tourist attractions

The Shiva temple in Mangapet, unique because the deity faces west, is 400 years old.

Shri Laxmi-Narasimha Swamy temple[2] in Mallur (7 km away from Mangapet) is located deep in the forests by the southern banks of the Godhavari River. Chinthamani Lake is a freshwater lake.

The Godavari river flows close to the town of Mallur.
