33°19′40″N 44°23′47″E / 33.3279°N 44.3963°E / 33.3279; 44.3963 The Al Mansour Hotel (Arabic,فندق المنصور) is situated in the coastside of the Tigris river in the middle of Baghdad city. It was built in 1980, as part of the Spanish Melia hotel chain In 2007, the hotel experienced bombings resulting in 12 deaths.[1]
