Marcel Schein

Marcel Schein (June 9, 1902 in Bohemia, Austro-Hungarian Empire (Czech Republic) – February 20, 1960 in Chicago) was a Bohemian-born American physicist.
Schein studies at the universities of Vienna, Würzburg and Zürich, where he got his PhD with the best mark "magna cum laude". In the fellowing years he taught at several European universities until 1938. Then he emigrated to the U.S.. At the university of Chicago he became a member of staff at the Institute of Physics. He was simple researcher from 1938 to 1943, then assistant professor from 1943 to 45, associate professor until 1946, afterwards he became full professor.
His main field on research was cosmic rays.
