Mark Anthony Suárez (born January 8, 1979 in Riverside, California) is a Mexican-American professional boxer and the former WBO NABO Welterweight Champion.[1]

Amateur career

Mark's father Andy Suárez trained him until his death.[2]

During his amateur career Suárez won a National Amateur Championship and was a two-time National Golden Gloves champion.[3]

Professional career

In May 2005, Suárez beat an undefeated Viktor Sydorenko to win the WBO NABO Welterweight Championship.[4][5]

IBF Welterweight Championships

On October 28, 2006[6] Mark lost to Kermit Cintron,[7] this bout was for the vacant IBF Welterweight Championships.[8]
