Markus Ragger (born February 5, 1988) is an Austrian chess grandmaster (2008). He took part in the Chess World Cup 2011, but was eliminated in the first round by Evgeny Alekseev.[1]
He won the Austrian Chess Championship in 2008[2] and played for Austria in the Chess Olympiads of 2008 and 2010.[3] In 2011, he tied for 1st–5th with Alexander Areshchenko, Yuriy Kuzubov, Parimarjan Negi and Ni Hua in the 9th Parsvnath Open Tournament.[4]
On the November 2011 FIDE list his Elo rating is 2662.
