Mary Leela Rao (Born 1940) is an Indian sprint athlete[1] who participated in the 1956 Summer Olympics. She was the first female Olympic athlete from India.[2]

She could not complete the qualifying race for the 100 meters and was eliminated from further competition.

Her best time at the 100 meter sprint was 12.4 seconds, in 1956.
