The Maryland National Guard Recruiting Medal is an award presented to members of the Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG) for recruiting or retention of personnel.

Description

A bronze finished, round 114 inches (3.2 cm) medal with the State of Maryland crest. The ribbon is cross-grained and consists of vertical stripes of scarlet, golden yellow, black, white, golden yellow, white, black, golden yellow and scarlet.

Qualifications

  1. Any individual, military or civilian, who have met the criteria in justification IAW the MDREG 672-1 can be recommended for this award. MDARNG Commanders, CSMs and 1SGs will only receive the medal for the unit retention. Production Recruiters, however, are no longer eligible for this award effective 1 October 2010.
  2. This award will only be recognized by those who directly are responsible for, or causing, the enlistment, appointment, or retention of two individuals in the MDARNG.
