Sapa Inca with his Mascapaicha.

The Mascapaicha was the royal crown of the Emperor of the Tawantinsuyu, more commonly known as the Inca Empire.

The Mascapaicha was the imperial symbol, worn only by the Sapa Inca as King of Cusco and Emperor of the Tawantinsuyu. It was a tassel shape of exquisite red wool, with gold threads and two feathers from a bird called Corequenque, it was the most priceless jewel of the kingdom.
