Matthew Peter Granfield (born 27 May 1980) is an Australian writer and business person. He is Executive Director - Digital at the Mantra Group and former head of marketing at Heritage Bank.

Education

Granfield was educated at Harvard Business School, the University of Queensland and Trinity Lutheran College,[1]

Career

Journalism

After graduating university Granfield was accepted into the News Limited cadet reporter program where he worked as a journalist for several newspapers.[2] He writes for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's The Drum website,[3] Red White and Brew[4] is an editor of Marketing Magazine[5] and regularly contributes to numerous other publications,[6] including Maxim, Crikey,[7] and The Courier Mail's Q Weekend Magazine.

Music

Granfield was a founding member of Q Song Award nominated[8] Queensland rock group The Black Market Rhythm Co..

Writing

In October 2011 Allen & Unwin released Granfield's first book,[9] a satirical look at popular culture titled HipsterMattic.[10] He also edits wine and beer reviews site redwhiteandbrew.com.au, and writes wine and lifestyle articles for a number of wine magazines and regional newspapers.
