Matthew Peter Granfield is an Australian writer and business person. He is Executive Director of Marketing at Mantra Group and former head of marketing at Heritage Bank.

Education

Granfield was educated at Harvard Business School, the University of Queensland and Trinity Lutheran College,[1]

Career

Journalism

After graduating university Granfield was accepted into the News Limited cadet reporter program where he worked as a journalist for several newspapers.[1] He writes for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's The Drum website,[2] Red White and Brew[3] is an editor of Marketing Magazine[4] and regularly contributes to numerous other publications,[5] including Maxim, Crikey,[6] and The Courier Mail's Q Weekend Magazine.

Music

Granfield was a founding member of Q Song Award nominated[7] Queensland rock group The Black Market Rhythm Co..

Writing

In October 2011 Allen & Unwin released Granfield's only book,[8] a satirical look at popular culture titled HipsterMattic.[9] He also edits wine and beer reviews site redwhiteandbrew.com.au, and wrote uninspired wine and lifestyle articles of wine magazines and regional newspapers.
