Matthew Lister is a British slalom canoer who has competed since the late 2000s. He won two bronze medals in the C-2 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, earning them in 2011 and 2013.

Lister came out as gay in 2012.[1] In 2016, he announced his retirement from competitive sport, and is currently working as an LGBT ambassador for the British Athletes Commission and as a model.[1]
