General Tan Sri Md Hashim bin Hussein (2 June 1947) is a Malaysian Army officer who served as Chief of the Malaysian Army from 1 January 1999 to 31 December 2002.[1]

He graduated with an MA in War Studies from King's College London in 1991. Upon retirement from the army he served as Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan. He stood for Parliament in the Malaysian general election, 2013.[2]

Politics

On March 6 2013, he announced to join Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). At the 2013 Malaysian general election, he contested in parliamentary Johor Bahru.
