Edit request – asterisk

This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request.

Please remove the asterisk character * from MediaWiki:Youremail and from MediaWiki:Prefs-help-email, and add a colon : at the end of the former. These two messages are used on Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-personal-email. The asterisk is inconsistent with the other user preferences that have help text like this. It seems to be a weird holdout from the original versions of these messages from 2003 :) – you can see the current MediaWiki defaults for them at MediaWiki:Youremail/en and MediaWiki:Prefs-help-email/en.
