Melampyrum lineare or narrowleaf cow wheat is a hemiparasitic plant native to North America, especially southern Canada through the eastern United States. Leaves have two forms. Cow wheat is low ground cover and does not get taller than a foot. This plant is common to jack pine and red pine stands.
