Melanoneura bilineata[2][1] is damselfly in the family Platycnemididae. It is endemic to Western Ghats in India, restricted to Kodagu and Wayanad districts.[1]
It is known only from upper catchments of Kaveri river in Kodagu and western slopes of Wayanad. It is restricted to hill streams with good forest cover.[1] Its labium is ashy white; labrum metallic blue-black; rest of head mat black. Its abdomen black, marked with azure blue, segments 1 and 2 broadly on the sides, 3 to 6 with tiny basal aunules confluent over dorsum, 7 unmarked, 8 to 10 blue, with very narrow basal rings of black.[3][4][5][6]
