Melanothrix latevittata is a moth in the family Eupterotidae. It was described by Karl Grünberg in 1914.[1] It is found on Borneo. The habitat consists of upper montane forests.
Adult males are similar to Melanothrix nymphaliaria, but are slightly paler, warmer brown and with a narrower white patch on the forewings, which is distally crenulate (scalloped). Females have a smaller basal black patch on the forewings and a rectangle based on the costa.[2]
