Metropolis is an eight-part British television series produced and directed by Glenn Wilhide for Granada TV. It was written by Peter Morgan. The series starred a notable cast including James Fox and Louise Lombard, James Purefoy, Kris Marshall, Flora Montgomery and Matthew Rhys. The casting was done by Daniel Hubbard of the Hubbard Casting family.

Metropolis featured a group of friends recently graduated from university, making their way in the big city, and was considered for an American spinoff shortly after airing successfully in the UK.

Metropolis had music composed by Jonathan Whitehead, and the series was edited by Michael Parkinson.
