Michael "Mick" Martyn (birth registered January→March 1936 (age 87–88) in Leigh, Lancashire[1]) is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1950s and 1960s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Leigh, as a Second-row, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.
Playing career
International honours
Mick Martyn won caps for Great Britain while at Leigh in 1958 against Australia, and in 1959 against Australia.[2]
County Cup final appearances
Mick Martyn played Right-Second-row, i.e. number 12, in Leigh's 4-15 defeat by St. Helens in the 1963 Lancashire Cup final during the 1963–64 season at Knowsley Road, St. Helens on Saturday 26 October 1963.

Genealogical information
Mick Martyn is the elder brother of the rugby league footballer Tommy Martyn, and the uncle of the rugby league footballer Tommy Martyn.[3]
