Midnight and Jeremiah (OCLC 9091853) is a 1943 children's book by Sterling North, which was the basis for the 1948 Disney film So Dear to My Heart.

Set in early 1900s Indiana, the story is about a boy and his quest to raise his "champion" lamb and show him at the Pike County Fair. He must overcome the obstinate objections of his loving, yet strict, grandmother; Jeremiah's uncle Hiram is the boy's steady ally.
